150th Anniversary Celebration
We invite everyone to come and join us as we celebrate our 150th anniversary of mission and ministry here at First Presbyterian Church, Hot Springs, Arkansas!
We will have a wide variety of activities on Saturday, May 16th, all leading up to our anniversary worship service on Sunday, May 17th, which will be followed by a luncheon. We hope to see everyone there.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Saturday, May 16, 2026
10:30 a.m. - First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary
As we celebrate the incredible history of this congregation, come and hear a presentation from the Garland County Historical Society on the history of churches in Hot Springs and the role that First Presbyterian Church has played. After that, enjoy an architectural open house, including our historical sanctuary and beautiful stained glass windows.
12:00 noon - First Presbyterian Church Parking Lot
We’ll turn up the energy a little for a Parking Lot Party over lunch! Come enjoy hot dogs, chips, and snow cones. There will be plenty of places to sit and catch up with friends, along with a bounce house for the kids to enjoy.
5:30 p.m. - First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall
Join members and guests for a charcuterie reception in Fellowship Hall before our concern that evening.
6:00 p.m. - First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary
Music has always played an important part of the life of First Presbyterian Church, so no celebration would be complete without some extra special music! A community choir, joined by some incredible instrumentalists (including some old friends of First Presbyterian!!) will take us on a journey of music from 1876 to the present.

10:30 a.m. - First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary
The centerpiece of our weekend will be our anniversary worship service on Sunday morning. Be there that morning as we celebrate and give thanks for the incredible ways that God has worked through this congregation, and continues to today. We will remember the ways God has carried us through our first 150 years and ask God’s blessing on the next 150!
11:45 a.m. - First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall
After worship, we will celebrate with a sit-down catered meal. This meal will include some special greetings from old friends of the congregation, the presentation of our commemorative mural, a mission gift announcement, and more.
