HEALING WINDOW
Jesus welcomed them, and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed to be cured.
Luke 9:11
The "Healing Window" expresses Jesus' compassion for all people. Regardless of their condition, Jesus welcomes all who come to Him, and extends His healing touch that cures their diseases and raises them to new life. The child reminds us of the trust and joy we must have in order to receive God's kingdom.
GOOD SHEPHERD WINDOW
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me...and I lay down my life for the sheep.
John 10: 14, 15
The "Good Shepherd Window" depicts the joy of Jesus returning the one lost sheep to the flock. The good shepherd calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. He goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow Him because they know His voice. Jesus came into the world that we may have life and have it abundantly.
GETHSEMANE WINDOW
They went to a place called Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples. "Sit here while I pray."
Mark 14:32
The "Gethsemane Window" depicts Jesus praying in the hours before His arrest and crucifixion. Obedient to God's will in the face of death, He exemplifies the Suffering Servant prophesied by Isaiah. Though the disciples had fallen asleep, Jesus prayed that they would learn from His example how to minister God's redeeming love to a broken world.
ASCENSION WINDOW
As they were watching, Jesus was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
Acts 1:9
The "Ascension Window" captures the moment, forty days following the resurrection, when Christ was raised in glory to sit at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. Heaven and earth are filled with God's glory as the disciples return to Jerusalem to await the gift of the Spirit given on the Day of Pentecost. God and humanity are joined in God's work of redemption.
DOOR WINDOW
Listen! I am standing at the door knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
Revelation 3:20
The "Door Window" assures us that Jesus is present with us through all circumstances to offer hope and forgiveness. He will never barge in. If you want Jesus to come into your life, you must acknowledge His call, repent, open the door, and invite Him in. Invite Jesus to dine with you, and He will feed you the bread of life.
